At Coates Farm, we are proud to be a certified Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location (CL), offering a peaceful countryside retreat exclusively for Club Members. As a CL site, we operate under the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s five-van rule, meaning we accommodate a maximum of five caravans, motorhomes, or trailer tents at any one time. This ensures a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere, giving guests the space and tranquillity to enjoy the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
About Coates Farm Caravan Site
Nestled in the beautiful Shropshire countryside on our family farm, Coates Farm offers a peaceful, spacious retreat for those looking to pitch up, relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Whatever your camping or touring set-up you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty of room to settle in. Unlike many sites, there’s no minimum stay, so whether you’re stopping for a single night or planning a longer countryside escape, you’re more than welcome here. Our simple flat rate of £25 per night applies throughout the year.
Generous pitches with everything you need
Set within a large six-acre field, neighbored only by the farm yard and sheep, our site offers just a handful of pitches, giving everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy privacy amongst the peaceful surroundings.
Every pitch is fully serviced with:
- Individual electric hook-up
- Your own private water supply, a feature our visitors regularly tell us makes all the difference!
- Easy access on and off, with the flexibility to set-up your pitch however suits you best
A relaxed, flexible approach
We believe that heading off on a camping, caravan or motorhome break should be simple! We pride ourselves on making it as easy as possible at Coates Farm.
We know plans can change, so we try to be as accommodating as possible. Our arrival and departure time is 12 noon, but if your pitch isn’t needed by another guest, you’re welcome to stay a little longer and make the most of your visit. If you would like to find out if this is the case for your visit, please just ask!
Visitors are also welcome during your stay at no extra charge.
Things to know
A place for families
With wide open space and a safe setting, Coates Farm is ideal for families wanting to spend time outdoors. Children have plenty of room to play, while parents can relax and keep watch.
Pets welcome
Four-legged friends are very welcome too, including cats. We simply ask that dogs are kept under control and on a lead, particularly when walking through areas where sheep may be grazing, and that owners clean up after them.

Wildlife on your doorstep
Nature lovers will feel right at home. Keep an eye on the skies and you may spot:
- Kestrels nesting nearby
- Buzzards soaring overhead
- Peregrine falcons passing through
The surrounding countryside also offers wonderful opportunities for walking, birdwatching and simply enjoying the peace and quiet of rural Shropshire.
Barbecues and evenings outdoors
You’re welcome to enjoy a barbecue or fire pit during your stay, provided they’re attended at all times and fully extinguished afterwards. During exceptionally dry conditions, we may ask guests not to use them for everyone’s safety.
To help everyone enjoy a peaceful stay, we kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum during the evening, with quiet time from 10pm.
